The story of Atop Web Technologies started in 2014 when Perete Harrison was in his second-to-final year of university. But the seeds were planted much earlier. From a very young age, Perete had an innate fascination with hardware and software—disassembling and assembling computers, formatting operating systems, replacing computer hard drives, changing computer processors, upgrading desktops, and carrying out computer engineering and system administration tasks.

It wasn't long before that hardware passion evolved into a love for the web. Immediately after high school, Perete was already diving into HTML and CSS. He started out on the Google Blogger platform, sharing tech tips and tutorials on how to configure Nokia Symbian Series phones. From there, he expanded his skillset, using tools like WebMatrix for drag-and-drop building and Dreamweaver to craft his early websites.

During his pursuit of a Computer Science degree, Perete became the go-to resource for his peers, helping students solve complex CS problems and building simple web applications for fun using WordPress, Drupal, PHP, and MySQL.

In his final year, he wasn't just completing his own coursework—he was building projects for classmate groups, lecturing them on the underlying technology, and even building applications to sell.

Recognizing the high demand for quality web engineering and his proven ability to deliver, a clear realization struck: why not open a consulting company to build web applications and sites professionally?

Hence, Atop Web Tech (aka Atop Web Technologies) was born. What started as a solo passion project in a university dorm has since evolved into a global, remote-first agency dedicated to engineering high-performance digital solutions for clients worldwide.
